Jaxson's RSV Update

Daniel is not too good at taking pictures with the phone but it's all we had in the hospital with us.

Jaxson's first Christmas was in the Hospital, but Santa came by to to see him :)

Santa brought Jax some great toys, a stocking, and some stuff animals. He even brought Maddie a few gifts :)

Childrens Hospital in Dallas really made our Christmas in the Hospital feel more like Christmas. Thank you Childrens!! One doctor came out and played Christmas songs on his violin. It was amazing watching all the children (wearing protected mask) watching him in awe.

Well, Jaxson is FINALLY home and is improving. He's still a tad bit dehydrated and is still having secreations building up, so I am watching him like a hawk. He has a Doctors appointment in the morning. I'll let you know how it goes.

Our Christmas was delayed but it was a good one. I'll post tomorrow.

Thank you for all your comments, concerns and prayers!

  1. That is so awesome of the hospital to do! I sure hope he gets better soon, that is all really scary to have to deal with. My son was hospitalized a couple of times due to asthma, but he was much older. But, I know how it feels to an extent. I'll be praying for a speedy recovery for the lil guy! If you need anything, just let me know! (A babysitter, company, a meal.. anything!!!)

  2. Thanks Karen! You are awesome!! That's scary to deal with Asthma. Once the doc found out it was R.S.V he gave Jaxson 2 breathing treatments to see if he had an underlining issue like asthma, but since the breathing treatments did nothing for him they rulled out asthma.

Oh, and we should just hang out anyway :) We should go get something to eat. I haven't seen you in forever!

  3. Yes, it was very scary.. especially since I knew little to nothing about asthma and breathing treatments and all that stuff! The last time hes hospitalized was two years ago when I was 8 months pregnant with my younger son. That was crazy, he basically had a severe asthma attack that lasted hours and nothing would get his lungs out of it. Anyways.. that's good news that he doesn't have asthma! It's just terrible for young babies to get sick with a cold, but worse when it's something serious!

And yes, we should def. hang out soon! But for real, let me know if y'all need anything.. please!

  5. Hi Raychel, I left a comment but somehow I don't see it here. I hope Jaxson gets better soon. Around here Cami was sick and I am with a really bad cold. We spend Christmas at home, taking medicines and having soup. Take care and best whishes for you.
