What Is a Memory Bear?









A memory bear is a handmade keepsake created from clothing that holds meaning to you. Baby clothes, favorite shirts, uniforms, or clothing from a loved one are transformed into a one-of-a-kind bear meant to be cherished for years to come.

Each bear is made by me with care, intention, and respect for the memories behind every garment.

Clothing Requirements


Baby Keepsake Bears

















I typically need 6 to 8 baby clothing items such as onesies, sleepers, or small outfits. This allows for thoughtful fabric placement.

If you have fewer items, you may include:

  • A baby blanket

  • Scrap fabric

  • One quarter yard of coordinating fabric or precut fabric squares

If clothing is very small or premature sized, please include a few extra items.

Adult Memory Bears











Adult memory bears can be made from as little as one adult shirt, as long as it is not too small.

For best visual results, especially if you want multiple colors or patterns, 2 to 3 items are recommended.

Please ensure all clothing is clean before mailing. Stains or wear are okay. If you would like stains preserved, please let me know.

Wedding Dress Memory Bears

Wedding dress memory bears preserve meaningful parts of your gown. Because wedding dresses are layered and detailed, I usually only need a portion of the dress. You do not need to send the entire gown unless you want to.

One dress is often enough for one or more bears, depending on design. I typically use areas like the skirt, train, bodice panels, or lace overlays.

Optional items you may include:

  • Veil

  • Sash

  • Coordinating fabric or shirt

If you would like unused fabric returned, a $30 return shipping fee must be purchased.

Please note that dresses with heavy boning, thick beading, or delicate lace may require internal stabilization. This can result in additional visible seams. All gowns are handled with care and details are placed intentionally.

  • Wedding, prom, homecoming, quinceañera, or Sweet 16 dresses

  • Military, law enforcement, or firefighter dress uniforms

  • Graduation gowns or stoles

  • Baptism, christening, or first communion outfits

  • Funeral or memorial clothing

  • Performance or dance costumes

Mailing Your Clothing










Mailing clothing to me is the customer’s responsibility.

Within 24 hours of placing your order, I will send you my PO Box address.

Shipping costs typically range from $15 to $50 or more depending on package size. Any carrier may be used. Tracking is required.

Shipping Tips

  • Wash and fully dry items

  • Do not cut or alter clothing unless discussed

  • Place items in a sealed plastic bag before boxing

  • Include your name and order number

  • Ship within one week

For safety reasons, I do not share my studio address or offer local pickups.



Size Information










Memory bears measure approximately 12 inches tall.


Custom Add Ons

Add Ons are optional and must be purchased in addition to the memory bear.

Each add on requires:

  1. An Etsy Add-On listing

  2. Amazon purchase mailed directly to me

If you choose to add an add on, you are responsible for purchasing the add on item for me to include in your bear. I do not keep add ons in stock, but I am happy to add items you provide to your bear. The add ons shown are examples of what other customers have chosen for their custom bears.

After purchasing the item you want added to your bear, please have it mailed directly to me. You will also need to return to my Etsy shop and purchase the corresponding add on listing. This covers the additional time, materials, and labor required to securely install the add on into your bear.

The heart will be placed in a sewn pocket made from leftover fabric. A zipper will be added to the back of the bear for battery changes.

Pellets are placed in fabric sacks and positioned at the bottom of the bear. Extra pellets are not returned due to shipping weight.

Turnaround Time & Shipping
















  • Processing time is listed on the Etsy product page

  • Work begins once clothing and add ons arrive

  • Clothing must be mailed within 7 days

  • Orders may be canceled if clothing is not received within one week due to Etsy timelines

  • Finished bears ship with tracking

Refunds & Safety














Due to the custom and sentimental nature of memory bears:

  • Orders are non refundable once work begins

Memory bears are keepsakes, not toys.

  • Spot clean only

  • Not machine washable

  • Not intended for young children

  • Safety eyes may pose a choking hazard
